Carmelo Anthony stays in Denver. Sorry, Rip.

Amid today’s news that the New Jersey Nets are no longer pushing for a Carmelo Anthony deal, there is the story of Rip Hamilton. The former NBA champion from the 2004 Detroit team that upset the Lakers continues to languish away on the bench. He has been held out the last few games, a cautionary measure against injury, in case a three team Denver, New Jersey, Detroit deal could be reached.
I feel bad for him. Hopefully, he’ll get moved somewhere so he could start playing again.

More hot 90′s autographs

I feel like every time I look up autograph  cards of key players from the 90s, the price are rising.  Today, I randomly checked Luc Longley, starting center of the Bulls championship teams from the second three peat and I was amazed to see his 96 Skybox Autographics selling for $25-$45.  I’ve never tracked this card before, but I can’t imagine they were going for that much previously.

Julius Erving 01 UD Century Legends $300.00 1/16/11 BGS 6 220723578900

10 years after the 01 UD Century Legend cards came out, I FINALLY get to see what the Julius Erving card in the set looks like. This is truly one of his rarest autographs ever produced. The price is staggering as it is, especially considering the grade it received. I would be almost willing to bet that the card would have sold for more, ungraded, in the condition that it is in. IMO, I think a mint car would bring close to $1,000.
