The Immortals: Kobe Bryant

The Immortals: Scottie Pippen
In case I never get a chance to visit the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, I decided to create my own little displays of great players. Here’s the first in the series. Tell me what you think!

The 95 Chicago Bulls have company.

Through twenty seven games, the record breaking 1995 Chicago Bulls team that finished the season with a 72-10 record, stood at 24 wins /3 losses. They won their 28th game, to stand at 25-3.
The Bulls reeled off winning streaks of 5, 5, 13, 18, 7, 6, 6, 6, and 5. They didn’t lose back to back games until the 46th and 47th games of the year.
A glance at espn.com today, shows the mighty Boston Celtics streaking at 14 straight victories with a record of 23-4. Out West, the San Antonio Spurs are rocking a league-best 25-3 record, while winning their last ten consecutive games.
It’s way too early to start predicting record-tying or record-setting years for either of these two power houses, but while Michael Jordan is figuring out what to do about his dismal Bobcats team in Charlotte, I’m sure he’s paying to attention to whats going on at the top of the standings.
